Natural endometriosis support
Relieve symptoms, support healing, and reclaim your energy - naturally. Endometriosis can be a debilitating and isolating condition, but you don’t have to manage it alone. At Naturalist, I take a holistic approach to understanding your body, identifying the root causes of your symptoms, and offering natural, effective strategies that help you feel well again.
I specialise in supporting women through the complexity of endometriosis, combining herbal medicine, nutrition, lifestyle changes, and stress support to gently reduce inflammation, ease pain, regulate hormones, and support your body’s healing pathways.
What is endometriosis and how is it affecting me?
Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows outside of the uterus, often on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, pelvic wall, and other nearby organs.
Endometriosis is a complex condition that can affect many systems in the body, not just the reproductive organs. Here are four key things to know:
Tissue grows where it shouldn't
Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, commonly on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and surrounding organs.
It reacts to your cycle
This tissue responds to hormonal changes, bleeding and shedding like a period, but with no way to exit the body, it causes inflammation and pain.
It can affect the whole body
Endometriosis is more than a period problem. It can impact digestion, immunity, hormones, and the nervous system.
It’s under-diagnosed and often misunderstood
Around 1 in 5 women are affected, yet diagnosis can take years. Even without a formal diagnosis, your symptoms are real and valid.
Common endometriosis symptoms
Endometriosis looks different for everyone, but some of the most common symptoms I see as a Naturopath:
Chronic pelvic pain
Heavy or irregular periods
Painful periods (dysmenorrhea)
Pain during or after sex
Digestive symptoms (bloating, constipation, IBS)
Fatigue and low energy
Infertility or difficulty conceiving
Lower back or leg pain around your cycle

My approach to endometriosis
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all treatment. Instead, I work with you to create a tailored wellness plan that addresses the underlying drivers of your symptoms, which may include:
Estrogen dominance and hormone imbalances
Too much estrogen relative to progesterone can drive endometrial tissue growth and worsen symptoms like heavy periods, pain, and mood changes.
Inflammation and immune dysregulation
Chronic inflammation and an overactive immune response can worsen pain and contribute to the spread of endometrial lesions.
Liver overload or poor detoxification
If the liver isn’t efficiently clearing excess hormones and toxins, estrogen can build up in the body, further fuelling endometriosis.
Gut health issues and microbiome imbalances
An imbalanced gut microbiome can impair hormone clearance, increase inflammation, and worsen digestive symptoms commonly seen with endo.
Nervous system dysregulation and chronic stress
Ongoing stress can heighten pain sensitivity, disrupt hormones, and slow healing by keeping the body in a constant state of fight-or-flight.
Natural treatment options I may use
Everything I recommend as Naturopath is based on evidence-informed naturopathic practice, with your lifestyle and preferences at the centre.
Your personalised plan may include:
Herbal medicine to modulate hormones, reduce inflammation, and calm the nervous system (e.g., turmeric, vitex, peony, cramp bark)
Nutritional support including anti-inflammatory diet strategies, liver-loving foods, and supplements such as magnesium, omega-3s, and NAC.
Stress and nervous system care through grounding, mindfulness, or Reiki (if desired)
Gut health repair to address leaky gut, bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), or candida that may worsen inflammation
Menstrual cycle tracking and lifestyle changes that support your body’s natural rhythms
